Students with disabilities whose individualized education plans (IEPs) mandate special transportation receive tailored bus service. All standard transportation costs are covered by the NYCDOE. WebThese MetroCards allow them to commute to and from school between 5:30 AM and 8:30 PM. Student MetroCards are either full-fare, which can be used up to three times daily for the subway or bus; or half fare, which can only be used for buses. A student that lives up to 1/2 mile from the school receives a half fare.
