WebFeb 23, 2024 · It is a good powder. I especially like it for 60-69gr Bullets. BUT, CFE223 has edged it out for me, plus is more accurate with 55 gr. Those two powders, Varget and 8208 are my top four powders for .223. There are several other good ones but these are the ones I’ve had the most consistency with.

When I shot the .308 cfe223 loads yesterday it was only 68F when I got started & 70 when I left in the afternoon when I was done with the other H4895 loads.
