WebHey all, I’m an Idyllwild local and constantly hear about dangerous conditions and issues crossing the Apache peak section of the PCT — I went up to scope it out and hiked the through section. My path was: Up via Fobes Trail through the PCT, and down Devil’s Slide/Humber Park. Path was 16.24 miles. WebHi all! I’m currently holed up in Idyllwild and am planning on getting back on trail Wednesday. I’m planning to start at Black Mountain Road to get to Big Bear but am trying to figure out the conditions between the two spots.
