For years I've only played with Dunlop nylon flat picks (0.6mm) which I still use occaisonally on electric but these Blue Chip picks sound incredible and I'll be using them on acoustic from now on. I'm just saying that $35 for a set of strings I throw away after a month might be a big deal. But when buying one or two picks that last for years (Blue Chip, Ultex, whatever) cost just doesn't enter into it. IF you like either of those, you will LOVE the Blue Chip TAD in either 45, 50 or 55 depending on your thickness preference. And Bluechip picks are also coded simply; it's just that they are in thousandths of an inch. A Wegen TF120 meaning 1.20mm isn't any simpler than TAD-40 meaning .040".

I think you will be happy with the 35 thickness, I use that for rock gauge strings, the 40 for jazz and the 50 for acoustic.
